BOYS
3/4 (GRADES 3 / 4) |
| This is a developmental team that will focus
on the fundamentals and basic understanding of the sport of lacrosse. Games
will be played against other communities such as Medina,
Rocky River, Chagrin
Falls, Orange, and other communities who also offer
the sport for this age group. This team will also participate in the Medina
Baggataway, which is a lacrosse festival that has a tournament atmosphere to
begin to prepare them for tournament play.

| BOYS
YOUTH 5/6 (GRADES 5 / 6) |
| The objective of this team is to build upon
the basic skills, and utilize them in a more competitive environment. The team
will enter multiple tournaments and festivals and play against some of the best
competition in Northeast Ohio. A select group
of Youth players will be asked to represent Strongsville in the Ohio Cup, which
is the Ohio State Youth Championship hosted by the Hilliard Youth Lacrosse
Association near Columbus in Mid-June. The Ohio Cup is a 2-day weekend
tournament that provides players with the opportunity to compete against the
best teams in the state of Ohio.

MIDDLE SCHOOL (GRADES 7/8) |
| The objective of this team is to build
advanced lacrosse skills, and prepare every player to compete successfully at
the High School level. The team will enter multiple tournaments and festivals,
and play against the best competition in the state of Ohio. Based upon the number of players at
this age group, we will field two or, possibly, three teams. All teams will
play a minimum of 10 games, and select players will be asked to represent Strongsville in certain tournaments, and will defend it's
2010 Crown at the Ohio
Middle School Lacrosse Championships held in Columbus
at the Dublin Scioto High School
in Mid-May.

YOUTH (GRADES 5 / 6) |
| In it’s second
year, the objective of this team is to develop basic skills and build interest
in the Strongsville
community for the sport of Girls’ lacrosse. The team will play regular season
games, and will enter a few festivals held by local surrounding communities.
While Northeast Ohio has a significant number
of Middle School Girls’ Teams, representation at the Youth level is just
beginning to grow. This team will provide Strongsville
an outstanding opportunity to quickly catch up with other communities, and
build a strong foundation for future success at the Middle School and High
School levels.

MIDDLE SCHOOL (GRADES 7 / 8) |
| In it’s second
year, the objective of this team is to develop basic skills and build interest
in the Strongsville
community for the sport of Girls’ lacrosse. The team will play regular season
games, and will enter a few festivals held by local surrounding communities.
The demand has been so great since the announcement of a girls’ youth team that
a Middle School team has now been added to the program.
